Video Editing

There are basic steps in all video editing:

1. Import video, pictures and sound
2. Drag the video clip or pictures to the time line.
3. Split the video clip & delete unwanted sections
4. Add music or narration.
5. Preview the video
6. Export the video in your chosen format e.g. .wmv

Different video editing packages offer various additional featureswhich make it easier to trim the video or reduce shaking etc. They will offer transition effects to be inserted between clips and other special effects.

Windows movie maker is bundled with your windows operating system and is quite good. However, it is difficult for us to use it as each operating system has a different version and the latest windows 7 version is very different from the Windows Vista or XP versions.

VideoPad is a good video editing package and it is free at the first level. The presentation below uses this.
